A mug rug is a small decorative fabric mat that is bigger than a coaster, but smaller than a placemat. It can be used on your desk or table to hold a drink and maybe a small snack, like a cookie or biscuit. They’re usually layered with fabric on the front and back, plus a bit of batting in the middle for softness and absorbency. It is made of 100% cotton fabric in my Mississippi studio.
